A complete ten-minute intake can prevent days of wrong-part and wrong-model discussion.
Use this page to gather the evidence Applied Physics needs to triage the legacy UF2 and compare current equipment.
Include these photographs and fields
Equipment: UF2 / Utility Fogger II label, serial, revision, asset ID and approximate purchase year.
Power: external supply input/output label, connector, plug type, cord condition and facility voltage.
Water system: chamber, fill port, level indicator, drain, water used and evidence of residue or biological growth.
Fog path: hose diameter/length, wand, adapters, outlet and any isolator or wall penetration.
Controls: fan speeds, fog switch, indicators, level-sensor behavior and modifications.
Describe what happens, when it happens and what changed
- No power, fan only, no fog, low fog, intermittent fog, leak or other symptom.
- Cold start versus after warm operation.
- Water level and water type.
- Fan setting and hose configuration.
- Time until the symptom appears.
- Recent maintenance, transport, storage or power-supply replacement.
- Photographs and a short video showing indicators and output.
Define the result the replacement must produce
- Room/enclosure dimensions and airflow velocity.
- Target fog distance and camera location.
- Required duration and number of locations.
- Water-sensitive or energized equipment near the fog path.
- ISO / USP / FDA / GMP / internal protocol context.
- Ultrasonic-only preference or LN₂ acceptability.
- Remote control, hose splits, curtain wand or carrying case requirements.
- Destination country and required in-service date.
Direct route to Applied Physics
Email the packet to [email protected] or call 719-428-4042. Use “UF2 support and replacement intake” in the subject line.
No legacy part, manual, repair or turnaround is guaranteed until the exact unit and requirement are reviewed.
Practical answers
Should I ship the UF2 before contacting Applied Physics?
No. Send the identification and symptom packet first. Unplanned shipment can create unnecessary freight, handling and diagnostic cost.
Can Applied Physics diagnose the unit from a video?
A video can improve triage but may not establish an electrical, transducer or sensor fault. Qualified inspection may still be required.
Define the application before choosing the replacement.
Applied Physics can compare the UF2 condition, room or enclosure, desired visible distance, runtime, water requirements, hose configuration and validation objective before recommending a current ultrasonic or LN₂ platform.
